[don’t sell bergen!]

Bergeners: have you been to Oslo lately and seen the huge advertisements placed on footpaths and on bus shelters? Bergen council’s planning to sell our city to Clear Channel, the advertiser, media owner, abuser of workers’ rights and bully of the music industry, just the way Oslo has sold itself. Please sign the petition begging the city to leave us advertisement-free! Oh, and go read the campaign blog fighting the ads: Byen vår, our city. There’s also a website with a lot of reasons why selling our space to an American media conglomorate is not a great idea. (Via Ragnfrid)

    Psst. It’s Ragnfrid.

It’s an honest mistake though. There are only about 200 Ragnfrids but 16.000 Ragnhilds in Norway (or so I’m told).

  2. Jill Says:

Oh no, I’m so sorry! I hate it when people get my name wrong! Sorry Ragnfrid, and I fixed your name now!

Is there any way to get information about this in English? Thanks a lot from Spain.

  4. Alvaro Says:

    Sheila:
There is another post and some information written in Spanish here.
