I’ve never had a desire for tattoos, but looking at photos of textual tattoos I can at least imagine wanting a tattoo. Not that I know what I’d write. While I love Shelley Jackson’s Skin project, I’d definitely want to choose my own words, were I to have any indelibly inscribed on my body. Which would be an extremely unlikely event.

(Fruits of a five minute break for surfing. I’m leaving the office soon. Dinner with friends, good idea, don’t you think?)

    poet nikki giovanni has “thug life” tattooed on her left forearm. (a bit of trivia i’ve always been meaning to use somewhere! – grin)
