[blogging is breathing]

“Criticism is as natural as breathing.” (T.S. Eliot, Tradition and the Individual Talent, 1922)

I’ll be pedantic just this once (well, not just…) - “Tradition and the Individual Talent” was first published in 1919. Another thing Eliot said: “every interpretation, along perhaps with some utterly contradictory interpretation, has to be taken up and reinterpreted by any thinking mind and by every civilization”. Which also applies to a post, which will be subjected to interpretation, criticism and alternative views… blogging is a great tool for criticism, but it takes a measure of self-criticism too, I mean being able to receive so many and diverse commentaries and make the best out of them.
